The past few months have shown that nature is demanding respect from us, from countries fighting for economic prosperity to sustaining economies for survival, time is changing very fast. This war against corona has landed up with many questions, but a major one would be that are we over burdening our resources.

Our greed in the first place has landed all of us in this situation to acquire more, to own more, to save more & we did all of this but when it comes to the second half of the story we failed to utilize it. It is evident that many countries have realized that they were exploiting resources in the name of management.
The world is not only fighting against corona virus but there is another war going on in the back-end, which is related to managing the shortage of resources. This virus in whatsoever manner has shown us that there is a excess burden of population on our resources & we are headed toward our own extinction with such high rate of depletion.
Countries like Pakistan have shown that excessive expenditure on terrorism & military budget will end you nowhere when it comes to managing health of the nation. On the other hand for countries like India the biggest question arises out of this pandemic is that how to manage its over-population for effective use of public expenditure. In this pandemic with more than 132 cr., we are adding up daily to this figure due to no easy availability to contraceptive measure & difficulties with respect to reach to facilities like abortion we might be headed towards a population outburst in coming 1-2 years. This situation is alarming for any government and might be the right time to have population control law.
There is no shortage of resources but a nimiety of those who consume these, we always criticize “Thanos” form avengers for what he did, but the question we need to ask ourselves is that, “what Thanos was thinking is really wrong” if he had perused his dream with better solution to the problem then there would be no avengers i guess.
It is rightly said that, “Democracy cannot survive overpopulation. Human dignity cannot survive it. Convenience and decency cannot survive it. As you put more and more people into the world, the value of life not only declines, but it disappears”. In past decade, we have seen that population control has its own demerits as it is seen with China, but what India can learn from this, that will be our value addition. Along with a two child policy & other measures we also have to focus on its implementation across the length & breadth of the nation over coming regional & religious barriers.
